Google My Business Management That Turns Local Searches Into Calls

Your profile is often the first thing local customers see.

We set up, optimise and look after your Google Business Profile, still widely called Google My Business, so you show up properly in Google Maps and local search. Google My Business management is part of our local SEO service, so it’s priced the same as our SEO packages: from £199 a month plus VAT, rolling monthly.

Google renamed the service in 2021, but the job hasn’t changed: the right categories, a description customers actually read, current hours and photos, and a steady flow of genuine reviews. Nouman, our founder, does the work and answers your messages himself.

Google My Business Management

Customers Often See Your Profile Before Your Website

When someone nearby searches for a plumber, a dentist or a café, Google usually answers with a map and a short list of businesses. Each one is a Google Business Profile showing the rating, opening hours, photos and a button to call or get directions. Customers can act straight from that box without ever opening a website.

So a profile with the wrong category, last year’s hours, three blurry photos and no recent reviews quietly sends work to the business down the road.

It isn’t a one-off job either. Customers keep leaving reviews, your hours change every bank holiday and Google keeps adding new profile features. A Google Business Profile for a small business needs someone looking after it, and most owners are too busy to be that person.

Google My Business SEO: How Google Chooses Which Profiles to Show

Google names three things in its local ranking guidance. Relevance is how well your profile matches the search. Distance is how far you are from the person searching. Prominence is how well known you are, drawn from reviews and from what Google finds about you across the web, such as links, articles and directories.

Your profile feeds all three. Categories and services shape relevance, your address or service area sets distance, and reviews plus consistent details build prominence. That’s why SEO for your Google My Business profile works best alongside your website, and why our local SEO services cover both. If the terms are new to you, what is SEO explains the basics.

Google also says plainly that there’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.

The Honest Version

A finished profile won’t beat distance. If you’re eight miles from someone searching “near me”, a closer competitor will often win. We focus on the searches where you’re a realistic choice, especially the ones that name your town or service.

Google Business Profile Management

What’s Included in Our Google My Business Management

Google Business Profile optimisation is careful, unglamorous work done properly and then kept up. These are the Google Business Profile best practices we apply to every profile we manage, all based on Google’s own guidelines.

Claimed, Verified and Still Yours

We help you claim and verify your profile, then you add us as a manager. You stay the owner and can remove our access at any time.

The Right Categories and Services

Google allows one primary category and up to nine more. We pick the ones that match what you actually do, then list your services and the towns you cover.

A Description Written for Customers

Up to 750 characters on what you offer, where you work and why people choose you. No links, no sales talk and no keyword stuffing, as Google’s guidelines ask.

Hours, Photos and Details Kept Current

Special hours for bank holidays and Christmas, fresh photos of your work, premises or van, and attributes that answer common questions before a customer picks up the phone.

Matching Details Everywhere

Your business name, address and phone number (NAP) made identical on your profile, your website and the directories that list you. Growth adds citation building on 20+ UK directories.

A Review Routine That Follows the Rules

Growth adds a review strategy: when to ask, how to ask, and a review link or QR code that makes it a ten-second job. Want us to reply to your reviews too? Just say. We never buy, write or reward reviews.

Plain-English Monthly Reporting

Each month you see what we changed on your profile, your Business Profile views and the rest of your SEO figures, so nothing is taken on trust.

Want regular posts on your profile too? Google Business Profile posting is part of our social media management Growth and Authority packages.

How It Works

How We Manage Your Google Business Profile, Step by Step

Your profile work runs inside our wider SEO process, so it backs up your website rather than contradicting it. The first weeks are the busiest: audit, categories, description, photos and fixes. Google reviews most edits before they go live, so some changes take a little while to appear. After that, it’s a steady monthly routine.

01

SEO Audit and Analysis

Your current website is thoroughly audited. Technical issues, content gaps, keyword opportunities, and competitor positions are all analysed. This audit becomes the roadmap for everything that follows.

02

Keyword Research

Data-driven keyword research is conducted to identify the exact terms your customers are searching for. Keywords are prioritised by search volume, competition level, and commercial intent so effort is focused where it matters most.

03

Competitor Analysis

Your top-ranking competitors are studied in detail. Their keywords, backlinks, content strategies, and technical strengths are mapped. This intelligence is used to find gaps and opportunities they’ve missed.

04

On-Page Optimisation

Every page on your website is optimised with targeted keywords, compelling meta titles and descriptions, heading structures, image alt text, and internal links. Content is refined to match search intent precisely.

05

Technical SEO Fixes

Behind-the-scenes issues are resolved. Site speed is improved. Mobile experience is tested. Schema markup is added. Crawl errors are fixed. Sitemaps and robots.txt are configured properly.

06

GMB Optimisation

Your Google Business Profile is fully optimised with accurate categories, service descriptions, business hours, photos, and a review generation strategy. This is essential for appearing in the local Map Pack.

07

Content Creation and Optimisation

New SEO content is created to target valuable keywords. Existing content is refreshed and improved. Blog posts, service pages, and location pages are all used to build topical authority in your industry.

08

Local Citation Building

Your business details are submitted to trusted UK directories and industry-specific platforms. Consistent Name, Address, and Phone (NAP) data across the web strengthens your local SEO signals.

09

Monthly Reporting

Detailed monthly reports are provided showing keyword rankings, organic traffic, Google Business Profile performance, and enquiry tracking. The strategy is continuously refined based on real data, not guesswork.

How much does Google My Business management cost?

It’s part of our local SEO service, so it costs the same as our SEO packages: £199, £399 or £699 a month, plus VAT, rolling monthly. Starter covers set-up and optimisation, Growth adds a review strategy and citation building, and Authority adds an advanced profile strategy. The profile itself is free.

Yes. Google renamed Google My Business to Google Business Profile in November 2021 and moved most editing into Google Search and Maps. The listing, the reviews and the way you appear in the map results are the same thing. Plenty of people still search for the old name, so we use both.

Yes. If you travel to customers, Google lets you set a service area and hide your address, which suits trades and mobile businesses run from home. You still appear for searches in the areas you cover. PO boxes and unstaffed virtual offices can’t be used as your business address.

Say what you offer, where you work and why customers choose you, with the most useful point first because that’s what most people read. Google allows 750 characters, doesn’t allow links or HTML, and asks you to describe the business rather than promotions or prices. Write for customers, not for keywords.

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google states there’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking, and your distance from the searcher is outside anyone’s control. What we can do is make your profile complete, accurate and well reviewed, then show you each month what moved.

Yes. A profile has one primary owner, and that should always be you. You add us as a manager, which gives us the access needed to edit your profile but not to remove you or anyone else. If you ever stop working with us, you can remove our access in a couple of clicks.

We can’t remove genuine reviews, even harsh ones, and we won’t write, buy or reward reviews. Google bans incentives in exchange for reviews, and UK consumer law, enforced by the CMA, bans fake reviews. Reviews that break Google’s policies, such as spam or off-topic posts, can be reported for removal.
