Ecommerce SEO Services That Get Your Products Found on Google

Your next customer is searching for what you sell right now.

Our ecommerce SEO services help Shopify and WooCommerce stores rank for the searches that lead to sales: product names, categories and buying questions. We optimise your category and product pages and fix the technical problems online shops are prone to, like duplicate filter pages and slow loading. Packages start at £199 a month plus VAT, rolling monthly.

We build Shopify and WooCommerce shops as well as optimising them, so we fix problems inside your store instead of handing you a list. You deal with Nouman, the founder, from the first audit to every monthly report.

Why Good Online Shops Still Don’t Show Up on Google

Most small shops lose on Google for the same few reasons. Product descriptions copied from the supplier often match other retailers’ pages word for word. Category pages are a grid of products with nothing for Google to read. Filters for size, colour and price can create hundreds of near-identical URLs, and products deleted when they sell out leave dead links behind.

Meanwhile the broad searches, like “trainers” or “scented candles”, mostly go to marketplaces and national retailers. A small shop wins on specific searches: the exact product, the niche category, the question asked just before buying. Ecommerce SEO is the work of making your store the best answer to those.

It runs on the same foundations as our wider SEO services, adapted to how shops are built.

Shopify SEO vs WooCommerce SEO: What’s Different?

Both platforms can rank well. The difference is how much is handled for you and how much you can change. Shopify generates canonical tags, an XML sitemap and a robots.txt file automatically, and its themes include product markup. The trade-offs are a fixed URL structure (/products/ and /collections/) and apps, each of which can slow the store down.

WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so you control URLs, templates and hosting. That freedom needs managing: an SEO plugin such as Rank Math or Yoast, decent hosting, and care with tag and filter pages that multiply. Still choosing a platform? Our WooCommerce vs Shopify comparison covers costs and features.

The Platform Matters Less Than the Pages

Google’s own ecommerce guidance says that if you use an ecommerce platform, it has most likely dealt with URL design issues already. What decides rankings is what’s on your category and product pages, and how they link together.

Ecommerce SEO Services

What’s Included in Our Ecommerce SEO Services

Ecommerce SEO is a set of jobs done in the right order, starting with the pages most likely to bring orders. Here’s what it covers on a Shopify or WooCommerce store.

Keyword Research by Buying Intent

We find what your customers actually type, from “buy” searches to comparison questions, and map each one to a single page so your own pages don’t compete.

Category and Collection Pages That Rank

Category pages (called collections on Shopify) usually target your biggest searches. We add a short, useful introduction, clear titles and headings, and links between related categories so Google sees how your range fits together.

Product Pages Written for Buyers

On the product pages in your plan, supplier descriptions are rewritten in your own words, with clear titles, sizes, materials and delivery details. Images get descriptive file names and alt text, which also helps them appear in Google Images.

Product Markup Google Can Read

Schema (also called structured data) is hidden code that tells Google a page’s price, availability and reviews. Shopify themes and WooCommerce add the basics. From Growth upwards, schema work is included, and we check your product markup with Google’s Rich Results Test and fill the gaps.

Filters, Variants and Duplicates Under Control

Size, colour and sort options can create many near-copies of the same page. We use canonical tags (a note telling Google which version is the main one) and sensible filter settings, so Google spends its time on the pages that sell.

Technical Fixes and Speed

Slow pages, broken links, sold-out products returning errors and pages Google hasn’t indexed. We find them in Google Search Console and fix them, using 301 redirects for discontinued products so the old page’s value isn’t thrown away.

Buying Guides That Feed Your Categories

Growth and Authority include monthly SEO articles. For a shop, that means buying guides and comparisons that answer pre-purchase questions and link straight to the right category.

Our Ecommerce SEO Process

How We Work on Your Shop, Month by Month

The first month is the heaviest: audit, keyword mapping, technical fixes and your most important categories. After that it’s a steady monthly routine of improving pages, adding content and reporting back.

01

SEO Audit and Analysis

Your current website is thoroughly audited. Technical issues, content gaps, keyword opportunities, and competitor positions are all analysed. This audit becomes the roadmap for everything that follows.

02

Keyword Research

Data-driven keyword research is conducted to identify the exact terms your customers are searching for. Keywords are prioritised by search volume, competition level, and commercial intent so effort is focused where it matters most.

03

Competitor Analysis

Your top-ranking competitors are studied in detail. Their keywords, backlinks, content strategies, and technical strengths are mapped. This intelligence is used to find gaps and opportunities they’ve missed.

04

On-Page Optimisation

Every page on your website is optimised with targeted keywords, compelling meta titles and descriptions, heading structures, image alt text, and internal links. Content is refined to match search intent precisely.

05

Technical SEO Fixes

Behind-the-scenes issues are resolved. Site speed is improved. Mobile experience is tested. Schema markup is added. Crawl errors are fixed. Sitemaps and robots.txt are configured properly.

06

GMB Optimisation

Your Google Business Profile is fully optimised with accurate categories, service descriptions, business hours, photos, and a review generation strategy. This is essential for appearing in the local Map Pack.

07

Content Creation and Optimisation

New SEO content is created to target valuable keywords. Existing content is refreshed and improved. Blog posts, service pages, and location pages are all used to build topical authority in your industry.

08

Local Citation Building

Your business details are submitted to trusted UK directories and industry-specific platforms. Consistent Name, Address, and Phone (NAP) data across the web strengthens your local SEO signals.

09

Monthly Reporting

Detailed monthly reports are provided showing keyword rankings, organic traffic, Google Business Profile performance, and enquiry tracking. The strategy is continuously refined based on real data, not guesswork.

How much do ecommerce SEO services cost?

Our ecommerce SEO packages are £199, £399 and £699 a month, all excluding VAT and rolling monthly. Starter suits a new shop with a small range. Growth adds schema, competitor analysis and monthly articles, and Authority adds link building and more content.

The principles are the same, but shops have problems service sites don’t: hundreds of product pages, supplier descriptions, filters that create duplicate URLs, products that sell out, and markup for prices and stock. Ecommerce SEO concentrates on category and product pages, because that’s where buyers land and where orders happen.

Yes, for most small shops. The technical basics are built in, so Shopify SEO is mostly about strong collection pages, original product descriptions, a quick theme with only the apps you need, and good links between collections and products. The main limit is a fixed URL structure, which rarely holds a small shop back.

Yes. We start with an audit of your store as it stands, whoever built it, and fix what we find on Shopify or WooCommerce. If the audit shows the shop needs rebuilding rather than fixing, we’ll say so plainly and explain why before you spend money on SEO.

They can. Products reach Google’s Shopping tab through Google Merchant Center, a free account where you submit your product data, and unpaid listings are possible there. Google says Merchant Center is required for the Shopping tab, and product markup on your pages helps Google check your feed against your site.

Technical fixes and new product markup can be picked up as soon as Google recrawls the pages. Ranking for competitive category searches takes longer, and anyone promising a date is guessing. You’ll see the work and the numbers every month, and because it’s rolling monthly you can stop at any time.

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google’s own guidance says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking. What we can promise is clear work every month on the pages most likely to bring orders, and honest reporting on what moved and what didn’t.
